To ensure a perfect fit on a rear screen we have to shrink it. Want to see how? please follow the links. The top link shows a breif video of an Audi rear screen being shrunk, the bottom link shows myself (not photo-genic) in a series of frames shrinking the back window of an Astra.
WINDOW TINTING LAW
V.O.S.A. (Vehicle & Operator Services Agency)
Road Vehicles (Construction & Use) Regulations 1986 as amended specify the minimum levels of light that must pass through the windscreen and front side windows. The limits are:
Motor vehicles first used before 1 April 1985:
The windscreen and front side windows must allow at least 70% of light to be transmitted throuh them.
Motor Vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985:
The light transmitted throught he windscreen must be at least 75%.
The front side windows must allow at least 70% of light to be transmitted through them.
If the glass is tinted to a point whereby it lets throuh less light, then the vehicle does not meet legal requirements.

50% Blue
The percentage value relates to the amount of natural light the film will allow through it, on the left are a few samples.
Changes in tint percentages are very subtle, and when mixed correctly on a vehicle, can look absolutely stunning.
**If you think you may have a vehicle with illegaly tinted front windows but are not quite sure, please bring it in. We can soon tell if they are illegaly tinted, and if you wish, we will remove the film for a small charge.
